Thunder BOOMS All Weekend

Multiple Thunder teams were in action this weekend including our 12u Black team, 13u Black team, and 14u Combined team. 13u Black Battles Til The End 13u Black participated in the Swing for the Ring NAFA Qualifier tournament out in Wheaton. There were lots of ups and downs but the highlight was rallying from a twelve run deficit to fall by just one run in the Championship Game. Way to keep fighting! 14u Combined Ends Spring on a High Note 14u Combined, our spring-only team comprised of players not yet in high school from our three 14u teams, traveled down to the south side for the Southside Smoke Spring Into Action Tournament. After a 3-0 run through pool play, our 14u's made a run all the way to the Championship Game and also finished in second place. Daily Herald Recognizes Thunder's Early Season Success

Though the season is barely underway, Thunder players are already earning their playing time with their respective high school teams. The Daily Herald's latest softball round-up  courtesy of author  John Leusch  includes shout-outs to two Thunder players while also featuring a picture of a third when speaking of the St. Viator team as a whole. In speaking of Hersey's powerful start to the year, the article mentions that: "Senior Kate Adamski and sophomore (Thunder Original) Payton Kee also have homers for the Huskies"  while also quoting Hersey Varsity Coach Molly Freeman, who shared that:  "Our battery is showing great strength under the leadership of our seniors (pitcher Sabrina Di Vito and catcher Livia Christopher) with valuable innings being shared with sophomores Ariya Patel and Payton Kee." High School Success Streak Continues

Thunder players made their mark at Prospect High School tryouts this spring ! Congratulations to all the Thunder players that tried out for their respective high school teams for making them, continuing our 100% success rate for the third consecutive year (every year we have had high school age players).  Hard work pays off and we are so proud of all of you. You'll find Thunder players across all of these high school fields and our favorite games are the ones that match Thunder teammates against each other. We are excited for an awesome high school season, be sure to check out the local high school fields to see Thunder players in action!
