2022 - 23 Tryout and Season Information

Thunder Fastpitch softball tryouts will be held this summer for the upcoming season that starts in mid-August. 

Tryouts will be held to fill available spots on current teams (birth years 2006 - 2011) and to both fill spots and create new teams for players born in 2012 and 2013 (2014 will be considered for 9u as well).

We are planning to support teams at the following levels:

  • 16u (B Level Teams)
  • 14u (B and C Level Teams)
  • 13u (B and C Level Teams)
  • 12u (B and C Level Teams)
  • 11u (B Level Teams)
  • 10u (B/C Level Teams)
  • 9u (B/C Level Team)

Our Belief

We believe that being a part of the Thunder Family is a unique opportunity unlike any other travel program in the area. 

Our Family creed preaches team over player, and our focus on long-term player development helps ensure that every player improves year over year and is best prepared to excel at the highest levels. 

We also strongly believe in the benefits that come from participating in multiple sports and activities, so our schedules are crafted to accommodate players that also play soccer, basketball, volleyball, dance, and other activities. This is best exemplified by seeing the pictures that fill our Instagram feed of teammates competing with each other on the court, field, or in the pool. Other programs say they support multi-sport athletes, we actually mean it.

But what's most important to us is to maximize the potential of each individual as a young adult, student, and athlete while creating a supportive environment that enables our participants to achieve success both on and off the field. Learning to work hard and remain positive through adversity and failure will prove invaluable as our athletes grow and mature.

Our teams win the right way, lose with grace, and support each other both on and off the field. And our commitment to player development yields real results -- we are incredibly proud that every Thunder Fastpitch player that tried out for their high school team this spring has earned a spot, continuing our 100% success rate. Several players even earned spots on Varsity or Junior Varsity teams as freshmen or sophomores, which is an incredible accomplishment.
