Arlington Heights Thunder Fastpitch Softball

Registration for the second annual Thunder Golf Invitational is now open. This is a scramble format outing with prizes for the top two teams as well as individual prizes for longest drive, longest putt, and more. Even if you're not Tiger Woods, you'll still have a blast because several holes have special requirements like hitting your tee shot with a softball bat, playing an entire hole with the same club, and more.  Plus, the Thunder take over the entire course, so it is a great day to connect with the Thunder Family! After growing from four teams to seven teams last season, the Thunder has again experienced significant growth, expanding to fourteen teams for the upcoming season. This growth is fueled both by expanding the number of teams at the 11U, 12U, and 13U levels while also adding new teams at the 9U, 10U, 14U and 16U levels. We believe that this continued growth serves as proof that what we’re doing is providing a positive experience for our young athletes and their families, which is our primary mission.  We’ve also demonstrated an ability to accelerate development – we don’t ask nearly as much of our families and athletes as other programs yet deliver strong performances just the same.  We are still looking to fill a few remaining open spots, so if you are interested, be sure to check out the Tryouts page for more information. Thunder 10u Teal and Thunder 10u Black ended their seasons on a high note last night with a friendly scrimmage at Chicago Bandits Stadium in Rosemont.  From the pre-game tailgate to the post-game fireworks, everyone had a blast.  Take a look at the video below to get a taste of what the Thunder Family is all about:

Thunder 10u Black wrapped up the tournament season with their third Championship Game appearance this weekend.  Even though our young athletes fell by a final score of 6 - 4, the Thunder picked up key wins over several strong teams including the Elk Grove Heat, ESAA Storm, and the Northwest Elite Bandits on their way to the Championship Game.
